Canadian Highlights Tour
Juno Beach tour covers the landing of the Canadian 3rd Infantry division and supporting units Between St Aubin and Graye sur Mer and their advance inland. Juno was broken down into landing sectors Mike and Nan.
St Aubin, Nan Red. Popular seaside resort saw the landings of the North Shore New Brunswick With 48 Royal Marine Commando, to link up with Sword beach. Hear how the battled to take the town and advance on the german battalion HQ at Tailleville.
Tailleville. A small fortified farming village use as 2nd Battalion , 736 Regiment HQ. Here how the North Shore and supporting Fort Carey Horse advanced on the village and captured the german HQ
Berniers sur Mer, Nan White, see the landing of the Queens Own Rifles and supporting units followed by the Regiment de Chaudiere.Here how they captured the town and advanced inland.
Because of problems at Courseulles sur Mer General Keller decided to land the 9th brigade at Berniers sur mer.

Lunch stop.
Courseulles sur Mer, Nan Green. Courseulles sur Mer. Small harbour town with railway line terminal which ran through the Juno Beach sector to Caen. The harbour was heavily defended by the Germans.
Graye sur Mer, Mike Red. An open sand dune beach area to the west of the port. Well defended because of the port. The Canadian Scottish and Royal Winnipeg Rifles assaulted this sector of Juno with attached units. Hear how the Regina Rifles and support units battle to take the beach, town and port, stubornly defended by the Germans.
Juno Beach Centre. Situated in Mike Red sector of Juno beach. It is Canada’s only museum in Normandy. Founded by Veteran Garth Webb. An optional visit here can be included if you wish.
Beny sur Mer , Canadian CWGC Cemetery.Beautifully laid out cemtery overlooking Juno Beach. The final resting place of 2048 Service men. A truly moving experience to walk amongst the graves. The final farewells from the family are heartbreaking.
Follow the path of the Regina Rifles through Riviers and Fontaine Henry to
Bretteville L’Orgueilleuse. The Regina Rifles advanced on the small town on the important Caen-Cherbourg route national on the 7th June. Hear how the Canadian’s battled against counteracts from the 12SS .
