It has been a real pleasure to offer tours to families following their relatives footsteps in the 30th Infantry Division this year, following both the 119th & 120th Regiments. The last tour in October followed the 3rd Battalion 120th reg , following the footsteps of George Talarico, who received the Silver star for his actions at Le Rocher during the Panzer Lehr counterattack ,11th July 1944.
Following the 30th Division makes great touring, one has the river crossing of the River Vire & the Vire/ Taute canal, pushing down the west side of the Vire towards St Lo, the Panzer Lehr counterattack . Followed by their breakthrough in Operation Cobra finishing with the German counterattack at Mortain, The German army’s biggest offensive against the American army
