Having successfully captured the bridge over the Odon at Tourmanville on the 27th June . The Argyll’s pushed on and took the bridges at Gavrus on the 28th June,
Operation Epsom now bore the brunt of the 2nd SS Panzer corps counterattack on the 29th June. Follow the Argylls as they defend Gavrus against the 22nd Regiment, while the 44 RTR battled on the ground between Gavrus and Evrecy against the panzer 1V’s of the 10th SS.
The 10th SS continued their assault on Gavrus on the 30th June.
