Tours of my local battlefields. The 8th Armoured Brigade fought to hold the village of St Pierre from the 9th -12th June while the Gloucesters fought their way into Tilly sur seulles on the 11th June , the battle for the village raged until the 23rd June, they say the village changed hands 23 times between the Brits and Panzer Lehr reg 901 , I read that the 901st reg left Tilly with only 112 men left.
There are some great battlefields covering months of heavy fighting between Lingevres & Carpiquet.
